Be the Change. Lead the Way.

Be The Pioneers!

Join the founding Board of Directors for the United Women Empowerment Alliance (UWEA) and help shape a movement. As a pioneer, you won’t just sit at the table—you’ll build it. We’re looking for bold, visionary leaders who are ready to make an impact from day one. Sound like you? Apply by May 2 and lead the charge.

Why Join the Board?

This is your moment to lead from the ground up.

As a founding member of the UWEA Board of Directors, you’ll have a unique opportunity to help shape the vision, culture, and future of a bold new organization committed to empowering women from all walks of life. Your voice won’t just matter—it will help define who we are.

Serving on the UWEA Board means:

  • Driving real change in your community and beyond

  • Influencing strategy and decisions that impact lives

  • Collaborating with trailblazers who share your passion for equity and empowerment

  • Expanding your volunteer and leadership portfolio in a meaningful, purpose-driven context

This isn’t just a seat at the table—it’s a chance to build the table. If you’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to lead with purpose, this is it.

Who We’re Looking For

We believe leadership comes in many forms—and we welcome it all.

We’re seeking individuals who bring passion, perspective, and a deep commitment to equity and empowerment. Whether you have boardroom experience or grassroots know-how, your voice matters here.

We’re especially interested in candidates who bring:

  • Experience in areas like governance, finance, law, community organizing, education, social impact, or non-profit leadership

  • A commitment to gender equity, intersectionality, and inclusive leadership

  • Lived experience that reflects the diverse communities UWEA aims to serve

  • The capacity to collaborate, challenge respectfully, and drive results

No prior board experience? No problem. We’re building a learning culture—and we value potential as much as pedigree.

What You’ll Do

As a UWEA Board member, you’ll play a critical role in laying the foundation for a values-driven, impact-focused organization. This isn’t a symbolic role—we’re looking for doers, thinkers, and community-minded leaders ready to roll up their sleeves.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Shape the strategy – Help set UWEA’s priorities, goals, and growth path.

  • Govern responsibly – Ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with our mission.

  • Champion the cause – Be an ambassador for UWEA in your networks and communities.

Terms are currently set for 6 months, with flexibility as the Board takes shape. This is a volunteer position, but the impact is priceless—and your leadership will be felt for years to come
